FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

This month, two fire have burnt down two of the memorable places (for me) - Platt Hall (London) and Sarawak Club (Kuching).

1. Platt Hall
   I did not know about this until I noticed the nick of Michelle on msn. It happened on 13th July. This is the place where N2 used to have care group. Still remember the time when I don't have the church van, I'll travel 1.5 hours to Hendon to shepherd Yoppy and run CG there. Can read more on BBC.
   
   
   
   
2. The Sarawak Club
   My swimming heaven! Not forgetting the ice-cream or dinner after our swim. No wonder how hard I swim, I also cannot lost weight :P Although it's not a very big club, it's comprehensive: gym, squash, tennis, basketball, badminton, library, restaurant, TV room, snooker room and of course the swimming pool. The fire broke out on the early morning of 27th July. Everything was destroyed except the swimming pool and the gents' changing room.
   
   

Aiyah ... it will be rebuilt pretty soon! :P

I'm back .. to blogging

It has been about 2.5 months since I last posted. From now on, I'll post more frequently :P

1. I am going to Prague on 2nd Aug till 8th Aug!! This is the 4th time Euro Convention will be held there. But this year is special, cause the Hope elders and leaders from all over the world will be joining. I'm extremely thrilled to have Ps. Kwong Lie, Ps. Simon and Ps. Denis to come!
   
2. I'm going to Old Trafford for a friendly match of Manchester United vs Sevilla on 12th Aug! Even though it's just a friendly, but it's MANCHESTER UNITED! This will make Ah Ching jealous! :P Btw, the new jersey of Man Utd looks really UGLY! :P The Emirates Stadium of ARSENAL looks GRAND :D I'll be bringing Ps. Kwong Lie to the match. Long long time ago, I promised him that, if he ever come to UK, I'll treat him for a match in Old Trafford. And PTL, just the right timing!
   
3. I'm really STRESS! PhD is really tough. Please always remember me in your prayer! I feel so stupid at times. I will always always remember, it is God who makes all things POSSIBLE!

Weather here in London has been really hot this year (can't compare to Australia's summer, as Eunice put it). I have been sweating in the office, during church service, in tube, in bus and at home! Hope the summer will go away soon :P

UPDATE!!

Dear all,

Have been a while! (kinda tired using this phrase, coz I rarely update my blog :P) Anyway, it's better than nothing ;)

Just finished my exams, Computer Vision and Intelligence Data and Probabilistic Inference (on Bayesian Network). I tell you, there were really tough! I hope I can pass, although the result not going to affect much to my PhD. Still it's not nice to FAIL, right? :P

I thought after exam, can have a more relax life. Dream on .... 9th month report due on 1 June! We are given the impression that the report gonna due mid of June and the presentation will fall on end of the month, mana tau ... an email from our PhD tutor comes, 1 June submission, mid June presentation! So here I am, will spend most of my time finishing up the reports!

God is good! I never really have to go through hardship since young ... even to get this scholarship and PhD offer in IC, it is God's provision. And God who begin the good work, will make sure that it will be finished. So, I claim this promise, no matter how difficult the study is, if God is with me (or rather, I am with God :P) , I'll be alrite!

Last night at church leaders' meeting, we are so excited, cause finally (with our fingers crossed), we are able to move out of YMCA, and guess where ... COVENT GARDEN! We manage to locate a church building there, £20 per hour, nice setting, for us to run our service! So hopefully we can secure the venue ASAP! it's gonna be so cool, inviting visitors to church in COVENT GARDEN! hehe Of course, spring is here ... weather is cool ... so nice to be out, just laying down on the grass, gazing the sky! Haha .. i dun normally do that. Coz most afternoon, will be in my office, reading or learning program.

One more thing, I've decided long ago that I wanna go swimming. Please, anyone reading my blog, please keep on asking me, whether I have been to swimming lately! (So that i feel guilty for not doing so). My college provide FREE swimming facilities in the newly open Ethos' swimming pool. Sound like my name eh ... Ethos - Eldos :P
